Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid sank too low when blasting the GOP, comparing those who oppose the health care bill to supporters of slavery. Fox News reports.

The Nevada Democrat, in a sweeping set of accusations on the Senate floor, also compared health care foes to those who opposed women's suffrage and the civil rights movement -- even though it was Sen. Strom Thurmond, then a Democrat, who unsuccessfully tried to filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and it was Republicans who led the charge against slavery.

In other words, the leader of Democratic Party, who supported slavery, is accusing the Republicans, who were against slavery, of being like the supporters of slavery because Republicans are against the Health Care Bill that will make the American people slaves of the government. Those who are against the health care bill are agaisnt any form of slavery in the past and in the future.
